So, here's my solution. Since it's my birthday today, and I'm headed to college in just a few short weeks, I'm compromising with a party! It'll be at my house next weekend, while Daddy is gone on a business trip!

There probably won't be beer there, but I'll be there! Plus, my cousin's coming up from Portland and he's a DJ!

Happy birthday! Is there anything you'd like me to bring to the party? ...By the way, you are cool. I don't think of you as just some high school girl. I think of you as my really, really nice girl friend.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Gosh, I don't know what to have you bring yet -- since the idea just popped into my head a couple of minutes ago! Ummm. Well you've already agreed to bring yourself, which is the best part I think. Really. It's awesome that you'll come. Not just because you're my awesome college advice guy, but because you're my really really nice boy friend, too.

Boy who is my friend. Not boyfriend. Hehe!
